At our Skelmersdale Hub we provide a range of activities at the hub that not only bring like minded people together with a goal of supporting improvements in animal welfare, with a focus on activities that introduce people to new skills or passions, utilise existing skills and hobbies, and help to give people structure, overcome loneliness, tackle anxiety, and build inner confidence.

Items created at our craft workshops are put on sale at the Hub store to help raise funds towards the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of vulnerable or neglected animals.

So as well as being great for your mental health and providing socialising opportunities, it also helps to provide a vital lifeline for animals in need of a fresh chace at life.

Crochet – Wednesday mornings  

• Sessions where attendees will be crocheting items that can then be sold in the shop

Candle Decorating Club – Wednesday afternoons  

• Learn how to design and then decorate your own candles.

• Make some unique candle creations to go on sale in our hub store.

The NHS describe social prescribing as a "key component of Universal Personalised Care. It is an approach that connects people to activities, groups, and services in their community to meet the practical, social and emotional needs that affect their health and wellbeing".
