Four ways to make a difference
We mostly care for cats, horses, ponies, donkeys, and goat - each with their own story of rescue and recovery. You can choose to support all our animals or focus your monthly sponsorship on a particular species close to your heart. Every sponsorship goes directly to frontline animal welfare, helping us to meet care costs, no matter which you choose

Support all animals as needs arise
Your sponsorship fee gives us the flexibility that helps us allocate support where it's most immediately needed—urgent veterinary treatments, vital supplies, or unexpected rescue costs across all our residents and rescues.
Helping animals like George
George is our resident tortoise, earlier this year he just stopped eating for reasons unknown and needing vital intervention to help keep his belly full, and his shell hard. Now recovered, thanks to your support, he is back to patrolling the cattery, entertaining the residents (what is this strange shell-covered cat?), and finding warm places to snooze.

Support our cat rescue and rehoming
Each cat requires at least £400 in veterinary care, food, heating, and expert attention. With rehoming fees covering just £95, your monthly fee helps to bridge the £305 gap that keeps frightened, unwell cats safe until they find their forever homes.

Support our horses, ponies and donkeys
Our equines require specialist care year-round. Regular farrier visits keep hooves sound, while winter means tonnes of hay and thick bedding. Regular dental work, veterinary checks, salt licks, and vitamin supplements keep them thriving.

Support our gang of goats
Whilst goats are natural foragers who make clever use of resources around them, they still need our help to thrive. Balanced diets, health supplements, fresh bedding, and regular horn and hoof checks keep them comfortable. Alongside routine care and unexpected veterinary treatments.
Helping goats like Anna, Elsa & Olaf
The 'Frozen goats' arrived in April 2024, as part of a nationwide rescue - in desperate need of saving after their previous sanctuary collapsed due to the owner's failing health. Within days of settling at Woodlands, Anna fell critically ill – she'd retained material from giving birth. Your support helped provide the emergency vet treatment and round-the-clock care she needed to pull through. Now fully recovered, all three thrive at Woodlands where they have become firm favourites.
