It is a legal requirement that all cats must be microshipped before rehoming.
Vaccinations
Each cat or kitten requires two vaccinations to help prevent persistant feline leukemia and associated signs of feline leucosis. Each vaccination costs £20 and prevents a serious disease that affects cats - causing a weak immune system and cancers.
Worming & de-fleaing
Cats of any age can be affected by worms, but kittens are more vulnerable and it’s especially important to keep them protected. Whilst fleas can often be the source of worms in cats. Treatment to prevent infestations of fleas and worms costs £20.

Each rescue receives a new bundle of cat toys at a cost of around £10.
Cat & Kitten Biscuits
Five weeks after them being born we start treating our kittens to special biscuits. These provide crucial nutritional support during weaning, help maintain dental health, aid in training and bonding, and offer an essential calorie boost for growing cats. These small snacks play a significant role in a young kitten's development and well-being at a cost of £4 per litter per day.
Dry Cat Food
Our rescue's diet includes dry cat food as it provides dental benefits through its crunchy texture and supports convenient feeding with its long shelf life. Its ability to be portioned and scattered can encourage cat activity, while being slower to spoil compared to wet food.
On average a cat will consume around £2.50 worth of dried food each day.
Pen Heating & Electricity
One of our rising costs has been heating and electricity for our pens. These are vital requirements to make sure that our rescues have as much comfort as possible throughout the day and night.
