Urgent Appeal For Vital Funds
Between May and August, 88 cats arrived at Woodlands. Meaning we rescued 70% more cats than last year. Every cat we rehomed this summer have also found their forever home 10 days faster than last year. So We're not struggling under pressure of increased rescue demands —we're getting better
However:
THE REALITY CHECK
This summer's financial picture:
Can you help us towards raising much needed funds to support rescues at this critical time?
However:
- Every cat requires a minimum in £400 worth of veterinary care, feed, heating, socialisation support, and expert care
- Adopters contribute £95 in rehoming fees
- This means each life we rescue creates a £305 hole in our finances
- Due to cost of living pressures over 300 regular donors have had to pause or stop their financial support this year.
THE REALITY CHECK
This summer's financial picture:
- Care costs: £35,200 (88 cats × £400)
- Rehoming income: £5,890 (62 cats × £95)
- Deficit requiring donations: £29,310
Can you help us towards raising much needed funds to support rescues at this critical time?
Meet Derek!
Derek was abandoned in a field.
At the end of August he came here to Woodlands, to his new home after receiving £5,000 of essential medical treatment.
We know that our other Donkey, Dolly, hasn't seen another of her kind, or heard a bray since her mum died two years ago. We don't know if Derek, in his 15+ years has ever heard or seen another of his kind.
Your support makes moments like this possible. Help us to help more like Derek.
