Fred and Wilma are probably one of our most memorable rescue stories from 2024.

They were found in a local factory. Just a few days old and smeared in grease and dirt. Their mum was nowhere to be seen and they were severely dehydrated and malnourished. Thankfully we were called just in time. What followed was round the clock care with feeds every two hours to give them the vital nutrition and liquids their bodies needed. Plus lots of gentle strokes and cuddles to reassure them.

Day after day the two got gradually stronger, as did the bond to each other, with them rarely leaving each other's side. Eventually the pair were rehomed - together - and remain as close to each other as the day they were found. Two truly lovely little cats who represent everything that drives us in the rescue world - hope, perseverence, dedication, and love.
