Missy
Missy came to us in January this year. She had been missing from her home for over a year and when found her owners no longer wanted her back. They’d now got a dog, so there was no room at the inn for poor Missy. An older cat with a streak of independence, Missy struggled to find a suitor – staying for month after month.
Thankfully as one door closed another opened as one of our volunteers began to fall head over heels with Missy. Here is their story in their own words:
“I first met missy when i started volunteering at woodlands in January. Week after week I couldn’t comprehend how nobody had adopted this sweetie pie and by the time april rolled around and she still hadn’t been adopted, I had to bring her home!
She settled in so quickly, claiming her side of the bed within the first few days of being home!
I can’t imagine life without her now, hearing her bring me toys in the middle of the night, seeing her zoom around when she wants to play - and most importantly our cuddles ??
Thanks, Woodlands, for finding me a new best friend!”
