GUINEA PIGS FOR REHOMING

Rehoming Guinea Pigs can be a rewarding and exciting experience but it is important that you understand the commitment can be anything up to ten years of your life.

Guinea Pigs should never live by themselves, always a minimum of two, but three is a much more ideal number. All males should be neutered which will theoretically mean that you can mix any combination of sexes. Any males leaving the sanctuary will have already been neutered.

Guinea Pigs need a minimum space of a 6ft hutch and a 6ft run. Anything smaller is not acceptable. We always ask you to send photos of your facilities before we make you an appointment to meet the Guinea Pigs.

Jimmy & Chazz
Jimmy & Chazz
This is Jimmy & Chazz who are approximately 5 months old!

This pair came into our care on the 19th February due to a change in circumstance to which they could no longer look after them.

Jimmy and Chazz came in un-neutered and have therefore recently been to the vets to be neutered and health checked. Monitoring their behaviour we have found them to be extremely skittish compared to our recent pairs. They will need a bit of work doing for them to be able to bond with their new owners, therefore will need that extra time spent handling them in there new home.

If you have the time to spend with this beautiful pair and be able to give them the time and care they need then please send a re-homing form in and reference Jimmy & Chazz the guineapigs!
Fudge & Lilly - Reserved
Fudge & Lilly - Reserved
This is Fudge & Lilly who are approximately 1 year old! (Fudge left, Lilly right)

These two also came in with Bo and Bolt as their owner could no longer care for them. We have split them up to help with socialising but they can go as a 4 if you have the space etc. as all are still spending time with each other during the day.

All four guineas are females, so haven't been neutered, so they must go to a home with only females/ neutered males. They seemed to be quite skittish when they first arrived and fudge seems to be the most confident. They will need some on-on-one from their forever home to get them confident around people.

If you'd like to take on a pair or the four, fill out a rehoming form today!
