Yasmin - devoted mum with a heart full of love to give - RESERVED
Yasmin's story is one of abandonment, survival, and unexpected blessings. This beautiful 1-year-7-month-old black and white girl was abandoned when her family left suddenly, forcing her to fend for herself in a garden. For two months she survived on the kindness of a compassionate neighbour who provided her food - but as she grew increasingly larger, it became clear Yasmin was heavily pregnant. Facing a dire situation and with no local charities having space to help, Yasmin came to us where she found safety, care, and the support she desperately needed.
On 15th June 2026, Yasmin delivered four beautiful kittens with us at the sanctuary, and she's proven herself to be a wonderfully devoted, caring mum. The kittens are feeding well and being closely monitored. Sadly, one kitten didn't survive, but the remaining three are thriving under Yasmin's dedicated care. What's truly remarkable about Yasmin is that even while nursing and caring for her babies, she remains deeply affectionate and loving. She constantly seeks out cuddles and attention from the staff, loves being stroked, and actually talks away to people - this is a cat bursting with personality and affection who somehow maintained her gentle, sociable nature despite the hardship of her early months before coming into our care.
Yasmin embodies what it truly means to be a devoted mother. She'll happily accept a cuddle and shower you with affection, then turn right back to her babies with complete focus and devotion. She's sociable and loving in a way that speaks to her fundamental sweetness - she greets people warmly, wants a fuss, and genuinely enjoys human interaction. Once her kittens are ready for their own homes and have been rehomed, Yasmin will be spayed and vaccinated, and she'll be ready for her own forever home around the end of August or beginning of September.
This lovely girl has given so much at such a young age - surviving abandonment, facing unexpected pregnancy, delivering and raising her babies through loss. Yasmin deserves a family who will cherish her for the affectionate, loving, talkative soul she is, who will appreciate that she's already proven her capacity for devotion and care. Home Check
After this, we will arrange an appointment with you to pick up your new friend, as well as the required food and litter which is available to purchase at our on-site shop.
Rehoming
From the initial appointment to collection usually takes between 7-10 days. When you come to collect your new cat(s), you will just need to sign the relevant paperwork, as well as paying the donation fee via our website. Prior to release all cats will have the necessary vaccinations and medical treatments - all signed off by our vet.

Rehoming Rules
- We will not rehome an adult cat into a home where there are existing adult cats.
- We won't home single kittens without another cat present. Rehoming a single kitten doesn't meet welfare standards as it will have no social interaction with other cats. This means that if you already have an adult you can have one kitten. If you don't have an adult cat, you can take an established adult cat or two kittens.
- We ensure that no cat or kitten is released to its new home until 48 hours after its vaccination.
- If there are other pets in the household i.e. dogs, we will normally recommend a kitten unless we have an adult cat who is used to living with dogs. Dogs are able to come to the Sanctuary to be introduced to the cat.
- All existing cats in any household must be neutered.
- All cats and kittens that leave Woodlands Animal Sanctuary must leave with the food and litter that they are currently using here, this can be purchased from our onsite shop.
