At Woodlands we are passionate about providing the best possible standard of care for the animals we look after. It costs around £4,500 a week to run the Sanctuary and we have to raise every penny of that ourselves.

In an average year we will help more than 1,000 animals that come into the Sanctuary as unwanted or neglected pets , farm animals, or sick or injured wildlife. That is in addition to looking after our resident animals including ponies, donkeys, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, rabbits and George, our lovely Leopard tortoise.

By signing up to play our lottery you can help to guarantee a steady income stream for the Sanctuary and help us to carry on with the important work that we do. You may also win a prize, but regardless of that the Sanctuary will always be a winner and we are very grateful for your support.

• The £1 per week will contribute to our food bill, to make sure all animals, especially those with specialised diets, are kept well fed.
• It will contribute to our waste removal bill.  A lot of animals means a lot of waste, and this can cost us up to £102 a week!
• It will contribute to our vet bill.  A lot of animals that come into our care need treatments and surgeries, such as spays, neuters and vaccinations, as well as life changing treatments and long needed medications.
• It will provide us with a source of guaranteed income, which means we can save up for larger projects!
