Pay for a Spay and help to support cat population management, cat health & cat welfare

Woodlands animal sanctuary in conjuction with Ribble Vets

Did you know that only 85% of cats are neutered, and that cost is one of the biggest factors in cats not being neutered?

Covid saw a significant rise in pet ownership. Then the cost of living crisis led to a rapid rise in pets being abandoned. This has placed significant pressures on rescue homes and sanctuaries, like ourselves, who receive no government support.

Across the UK sanctuaries and rescues like us are experiencing drops in donations yet face rising food and healthcare costs.

Already this year we have rescued more pregnant cats than ever in our 20 years of existence. We have had 10 litters resulting in over 40 cats and kittens, and with the average cost in food and basic healthcare per litter being £1,600, this is an usustainable strain on resources.

So now is the time to act and help relieve this pressure through prevention of unwanted pregancies. By donating towards Pay for a spay you are helping cats avoid unwanted pregnancies, manage the population, and allow sanctuaries to focus on those cats and kittens most in need.

You can opt to support us through paying the whole price of a spay, half the price, or whatever you can afford.
