Help is at hand for those in need
The Woodlands Animal Sanctuary Food Bank provides free pet food to individuals and families facing financial hardship due to the ongoing cost of living crisis.
We appreciate that many pet owners are struggling to afford basic necessities for their animals, leading to difficult decisions about rehoming pets or even surrendering them to shelters like ours.
We aim to keep pets in their loving homes by distributing donated pet food, treats, and supplies to those in need. Operating out of our Community Hub at the Concourse, Skelmersdale, the food bank accepts contributions from local businesses, organizations, and community members, then packages and distributes the items to people in need.
Pet owners can apply to pre-book their collection through completing a simple online form, or can visit any time during opening hours - although there's no guarantee of available supplies.
By providing this essential support, we hope to alleviate financial pressures and ensure that no pet has to go hungry during these challenging economic times.
Woodlands Animal Sanctuary is a non-profit organization funded entirely by donations.
Together, our community can make a meaningful difference in the lives of beloved companion animals and their families.
