What’s your reaction to Peanut?

Peanut came to us due to behavioural issues, and whilst we know this could mean he is more difficult to rehome, this doesn’t mean we think he is any less deserving!  We try to give every cat that comes to us, the best possible outcome for them individually.  This also means we try to match homes with the cats we have.  We don’t have a 100% success rate, but we do our damnedest to try!

Are you overly affectionate, strong willed, bend the rules occasionally and can move through emotions quicker than a moth to a flame?  Well you may be able to sympathise with Peanut!   At only 6 months old, his education and experiences, until now, haven’t been as positive as they could be, and now, as a bolshy teenager he is struggling to find his place in this strange world that appears to have ever changing rules whilst offering very little comfort and stability to help to deal with it.

We welcomed Peanut into our fold last month, and we are working incredibly hard to give this young lad some structure and boundaries to help him feel secure.  As with all of our cats Alison, our vet has checked and cleared to him to be rehomed, he is also neutered and fully vaccinated.  But we are looking for home as special as he is, one who is very experienced with cats and has no other pets or children in their house.

Peanut purrs like a motorbike, but due to a lack of understanding and boundaries his enthusiasm around affection and play can lead to the odd nibble or two.  And it is for this reason that we will be being very honest and strict with who we will consider as a home for him, so please, don’t be offended if we don’t think Peanut is for you, we will certainly help you to find the perfect furbaby buddy.  But, if you fit the criteria above and think you could provide this boisterous adolescent with the love and structure he needs to flourish and mature then please fill out the rehoming application form here on our website:  www.woodlandsanimalsanctuary.org.uk/rehoming/
