When forever doesn’t last forever

As you will probably know, we at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary take in unwanted, neglected and injured cats, with a view rehoming them to a loving forever home.  Well what happens when forever doesn’t last forever?  We always ask, that if for any reason, a fosterer no longer wants the cat they rehomed from us that the cat is always returned to us.

This has happened in the past and can sometimes be after a couple of months, or it could be after a few years – there is no time limit on it for us at Woodlands.

Currently, Bella has returned to us after her loving home didn’t work out.  Bella is 3-year-old tortie who can be quite timid, but once she gets to know you she loves her cuddles!  We are looking for an experienced cat home for her, with parents who are understanding of timid nature and her need to be given time and space to get her head around new situations.

Abi, one of the Bella’s primary carers say "Bella is such a sweet and gentle soul, but since coming back to us has found it really difficult to settle after having her own loving home.  We would ideally love it if she could have a home with access to the outdoors, where she would be able to exhibit her natural behaviours as well as having the love and cuddles she so craves."

If you think you could provide Bella with the home life she desires, then contact us by phoning 01704 823293 to talk to a member of the team.  As with all cats available for rehoming, Bella is neutered, micro-chipped, up to date with flea & worming treatments and will come with 4 weeks’ free insurance with Pet Plan.  A minimum donation of £85 is asked for any cat being rehomed from us.

If you would like to support Woodlands Animal Sanctuary, but do not feel that you would like to rehome a cat, you could join them at their annual black tie ball this year celebrating their 15th Birthday at the iconic Bliss Hotel, Southport.  Tickets are £39.50 pp and block table bookings can also be taken.  Simply phone Woodlands or pay online via our website to secure yours!
